Officers Announcements

We have a candidate for our new seneschal – Sir Crispin de la Rochefoucauld.  If anyone has feedback regarding his candidacy, please speak with the Barone or Baronessa within the next two weeks.

New society peerage for ranged fighters has been announced – The Order of the Mark. Vigils will begin next month at Coronation, elevations begin in June at NOWM!.  Please note that due to the new peerage, the marshalling requirements will be changing – make certain you bring your marshal’s card when at an event.

Tonight is our last meeting at the temporary site, Ss. Robert and William Catholic Parish.  We will be packing up our baronial impedimentia and loading it into vehicles for transport back to our regular home.

Important Meeting Notes

We are returning home to our regular meeting site in January!

1/8 – we are meeting at the temporary site, Ss. Robert and William Catholic Parish, at 367 E. 260th St., Euclid.  Please bring boxes and empty vehicles to help transport baronial impedimentia back to our regular home.

1/15 – we are back at St John of the Cross, 140 Richmond Rd, Euclid.  Please be ready to help unload the above mentioned boxes and vehicles as we settle back in!

Cooks:  Wednesday 1/8 – all hands meeting in the small kitchen at meeting to work on feast for Regular Event.  If you have a pasta machine for rolling dough, please bring it along.

Wednesday 1/15 – meeting again in the kitchen for more feast prep; details to follow.

Wednesday 1/29 – January cooks guild challenge is things that look like snow and/or ice – be creative!

Congratulations Sir Kobel, Rapier Champion!

On Wednesday, November 20th, the Cleftlands lists were opened up to all rapier combatants to test their mettle in the annual tournament. Numerous inspired combatants stepped forth and took to the lists. When the flurry of steel and sweat slowed and the last blows were counted, one rapier combatant emerged victorious.

Congratulations to Sir Kobel Ladozhskyi inspired by Lord Hrafnkell Inn Rauði Eykelsson!

Special thanks to the list table and marshals in charge, including: Forester Gwyneth Cole, Forester Muldonny McVriw, Lord Eofor of Cleftlands, Lord Gunther Arnbach, and Prince Wigthegn the Younger.

This evening was the final chance to receive war pay for those who failed to collect any previously.

Mistress Elizabethe will be stepping down as our Minister of Arts and Sciences in January 2025.  If you think this is something you would be interested in, the position has been posted on our website to submit an application.  If you have questions about what it entails, feel free to contact her and ask.

Our temporary meeting site through at least the end of the year is Ss. Robert and William Catholic Parish, at 367 E. 260th St., Euclid.  Go to the school, not the church. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.  A brief business meeting is held at 8 p.m. We need to vacate the site between 9:30 and 10 p.m.  Please do not prop open the doors at meeting site unless there is a person monitoring the door.
