Meeting Minutes: 10-Apr-58

STANDARD BEARERS AND NORTHERN OAKEN REGIONAL A&S FAIRE IS SATURDAY:

Sts. Robert and William Church in Euclid.

Event Steward: Lord Tarmach

GATE AND SET-UP: Set-up starts at 9 a.m.; gate opens at 9:30 a.m. Combat will be moved outside if the weather permits.

A&S FAIR: Judges are still needed. See Sir Crispin or Mistress Milesent for details.

COURT HERALDS: Volunteers are needed; see Mistress Milesent to sign up.

A&S DISPLAY: There will be an A&S display that is separate from the baronial championship A&S display. See Mistress Milesent.

CRAFTSPERSONS GREEN: Bring your A&S projects and work on them in the company of other artisans.

BREAKFAST DONATIONS: Items are still needed. Please sign up using the Google form on the event Facebook page, or see Lady Genevra.

ROYAL RETAINERS: Sign up on the event website or the Northern Oaken Regional A&S Fair website. See Lady Gianna with questions.

BUILDING NOTE: Another group is using the upstairs cafeteria and the elevator at that end of the hall until noon. Please do not go into those areas during that time.

UPCOMING BARONIAL EVENTS

May 18: Fletchings of Spring, held at Liberty Park in Twinsburg. The baronial archery championship will be held at this event, not Standard Bearers. Event steward is Lord Tarmach. There will be target and combat archery. One fee includes lunch. Due to site restrictions, money cannot be taken on site, so the event is pre-registration only. Pay Pal information will be on the event website soon.

DEMOS

Scottish Games: Saturday, June 22, Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds. Set-up help will be needed on Friday, June 21. A Google sign-up form will be available soon. See Lady Shahzada for more information.

200th St. Stroll: Saturday, June 1, Euclid. See Lady Shahzada to sign up.

OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENTS

Please use the door at the far end of the school, and not the center school door.

Event planning committee: The next meeting will be May 1.

Rapier marshal Lord Reinhardt (Labros) Mit Dem Bartand, Youth marshal Sergeant Bastian Eychener and chronicler Jolicia atte Northclyfe are stepping down soon and need replacements. An officer application can be found on the baronial website.

Archery: Practice will be held Monday, April 15. See the baronial Facebook page for details.

MOAS: A baronial field trip to see the Africa and Byzantium exhibit at the Cleveland Museum of Art is noon Sunday, May 19. Everyone is responsible for his or her own ticket. Upcoming class topics include lucet. Classes will be held in Room 101, or in the gym if fighters move outdoors.

GUILD ANNOUNCEMENTS

Needleworkers Guild: Meetings are held at Critical Hit gaming store in Cleveland Heights on the second and fourth Tuesdays at 6:30. See Lady Miriana to learn more.

Armorers Guild:  Meetings are held most Thursdays on the West Side; see Baron Calum for details.

Garb-a-Thons: These sessions are opportunities to work on garb, get help sewing garb, or just socialize. Check the baronial Google calendar for details. See Mistress Thorhalla, Lady Genevra and Lady Chaiya for details.

OLD BUSINESS

Our new temporary meeting site is Ss. Robert and William Catholic Parish, aka Saint Billy-Bob, at 367 E. 260th St., Euclid. Go to the school, not the church. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.  A brief business meeting is held at 8:15 p.m. We need to vacate the site between 9:30 and 10 p.m. The barony will meet here until fall.

Contacts booklet: Lady Leonne is updating the Cleftlands contacts booklet. Contact her to update or add your information.

Youth officer: Families with children should introduce themselves to our Youth Officer, Lady Chaiya.

Exchequer: Members are asked to donate $2 per meeting, or $100 per year, to cover the cost of the meeting hall rental. We are paying the same rent at Saint Billy-Bob.

Quartermaster: The quartermaster must be notified at least two weeks in advance if a member wishes to borrow baronial gear.
