Baronial Announcements
While there is not typically a business meeting on the night of a Dessert Revel, this evening’s announcements will be kept brief.
We will be co-hosting with Red Spears the Fall Crown Tourney on October 17 at Huron County Fairgrounds. Assistance is needed for a number of tasks – if you are able and willing to help, contact Sir Crispin, Forester Cadfan, or Mistress Snowden.
Tonight marks the occasion of Her Excellency Aurelia’s Birthday. By way of a present, a poll was announced, asking residents of Lake, Geauga, and Ashtabula counties who have participated in Cleftlands activities, as well as residents within our current borders, to weigh in on a proposal to formally expand Cleftlands to include the aforementioned counties. This does not create a new group, change how Cleftlands operates, or change where anyone is expected to participate. The poll will remain open for 21 days. Approval of the proposal will require at least two-thirds of the votes cast to be in favor. Votes will only be accepted from respondents residing in Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, and Ashtabula Counties. Demo at the Cleveland Gaming Classic update – the Sunday, September 13th event has capped the number of people to attend from Cleftlands for purposes of the demonstration at 15. This a fighting only demo, both armored and rapier. Please sign up as soon as possible – Forester Cadfan would like to have all names to present to the event coordinators by this Friday, August 28th. And more rapier fighters have been requested. Contact Forester Cadfan for more information.
From Duchess Runa – I am Royalty Liasson for Crown Tournament. A Silent Auction will be held at September Dessert Revel to help offset costs of food and drink in the event’s Royalty Room. (Society law prohibits such funds from coming from the Barony’s coffers.) Please consider donating an item or items for this Auction. Cash donations will also be gratefully accepted.
