HUZZAH FOR CLEFTLANDERS!
Cleftlanders were well-represented as entrants and Laurel consultants at the Tournament of Arts Jan. 7 in Michigan.
CLEFTLANDS EVENTS IN 2023
Standard Bearers: This is the event that selects the barony’s A&S, rapier, archery and armored combat champions. Bids are due by Wednesday, Feb. 15. Their Excellencies would like to hold the event before July 1; see them for more information.
OPEN OFFICER POSITIONS
Gold Key: This person is in charge of the barony’s collection of loaner garb.
Youth Officer: The position is open.
Chatelaine: This office will be open soon.

OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENTS
Minster of Arts and Sciences: Upcoming class topics include tablet weaving, olive oil, Sephardic poetry and Tudor history. See the baronial website and Facebook page for details. Deputies and teachers are needed. Please suggest classes you would like to take.
GUILD ANNOUNCEMENTS
Armorers Guild: This guild meets most Thursdays in Berea. The host requires that participants be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 to attend. See Baron Calum for details.
The Baronial Book: See Lord James if you would like to add a poem or story to the hand-made Baronial Book.

OLD BUSINESS
Exchequer: Members are asked to donate $2 per meeting, or $50 per year, to cover the cost of the meeting hall rental.
Quartermaster: The quartermaster must be notified at least two weeks in advance if a member wishes to borrow baronial gear.
Baronial meetings: Set-up starts at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting starts at 7 p.m. We must vacate the building before 10 p.m.
