We have ample space for martial activities on a springy grass-like surface — a indoor soccer field.

Absolutely no food or drink other than water is allowed on this surface!

There is limited space for day camps – the primary area near the list fields are bleachers. Please pack sparingly.

Armored

A series of armored activities including several sponsored tournaments, melee practice, and pickup fights will take place during the day.

  • Counted Blows  Tournament: (12:00 PM) A counted blows tournament, sponsored by Sir Cruaddon Ap Cruach.
  • Unbelted Invitational  Tournament: (12:30 PM) A double elimination tournament open to unbelt fighters only, sponsored by Sir Thorin Eikskjald with a prize donated by House Medved Ohoytnik.
  • Warlord Maximus Tournament: (1:30 PM) A warlord like every other until the last four teams are determined. At that time, the four final teams will fight a pool tourney, and the top two will advance to the finals. The finals will be fought best out of three. Sponsored by Duke Eikbrandr Solgyafi.
  • Ransom Tournament: (2:45 PM) This tourney will be held in bear pit format. All entrants must submit a ransom befitting of their station to enter.

Rapier

A series of rapier activities including several sponsored tournaments, melee practice, and pickup fights will take place during the day.

  •  Up and Comers Tournament: (11:00 AM) This tournament is open to anyone who has received an AoA-level award for fencing prowess or has no received an award for fencing prowess to date. Tournament format will be determined on the day of the event, based on the number of entrants. Prize: A brass token granting entry into the “Best of the Best” tournament during Peace Week of Pennsic 48 (2019).
  • Youth Rapier Tournament: (1:00 PM) A single elimination youth rapier tournament. We will be competing with Division II rules (plastic foils) unless we have 4 or move Division III entrants. Youth fencers may authorize on the day of the event. Prize: Handcrafted messenger bag donated by Lady Jacqueline.
  • Class: Structure in Italian Rapier (1:00 pm)This class will help fencers at all levels learn how to use the natural structural strength of the human body instead of muscle power and tension to improve their speed and stability through the lens of Gigianti’s teachings on rapier. Instructor: Warder Raphael di Merisi.
  • Cleftlands Invitational Tournament: (2:00 PM) A double elimination tournament open to any fencer bearing an invitation. Invitations will be mailed to any grant level or higher fencer who emails Warder Velvet at msrlapin@gmail.com. A limited number of invitations will also be available on site. Invitations are transferable–if you can’t attend, perhaps your students can? Prize: A dagger from Darkwood Armory and a $25 gas card.
  • Cut and Thrust Tournament: (3:00 PM) Sponsored by Sir Silverthorn.
