IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Crown Tournament: Several Cleftlanders are competing in Crown on Oct. 21. Good luck to all combatants and their inspirations!

New Iron Key Minister: Lord Tryggr wants to step down by the end of the year. See him to learn more about the position.

UPCOMING BARONIAL EVENTS

Dressed to Kill, Nov. 11 at the meeting site: Online registration and pre-registration at meetings are available. There will be a breakfast bar and lunch provided. Volunteers are needed to help. See Baron Calum to sign up to teach a class on armor, and see Baron Edward about costuming classes. There will be an A&S display and fashion show. See Mistress Milesent for details.

UPCOMING REVELS

Oct. 25 Dessert Revel: This revel will have a Halloween theme. SCA and non-SCA costumes are welcome. There will be costume and pumpkin-coloring contests. The Cooks Guild challenge is to make something that looks like something it is not. See Lady Jocelin for details.

Nov. 29 Dessert Revel: A rapier tournament will be held. Each combatant should designate a person to be their inspiration. Combatants will be asked to sign up in advance through a Google form. How the lists will be run is TBD. See our rapier marshal Lord Reinhardt to learn more.

 Yule Revel, Dec. 20: There will be a Noblesse Largess exchange; see Mistress Thorhalla for details. There will be a Not a Cookie Exchange; ask MOAS Dame Elizabeth for details.

OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENTS

Youth Officer: Lady Chaiya Is planning a special youth-friendly project for Yule. She would like to speak to parents and youth about this project.

Seneschal: Bids are being accepted for Regular Event, NOWM and Standard Bearers. See our seneschal Mistress Angharad if you are thinking about organizing an event.

MOAS: Upcoming class topics include. Teachers can sign up for slots through the beginning of next year. GUILD ANNOUNCEMENTS

Garb-A-Thon: Check for Garb-A-Thon dates and locations on its event Facebook page. A donated sewing machine will be available for use.

Needleworkers Guild: There will be a beaded cabochon-making class at the next guild meeting. Meetings will be at Critical Hit gaming store in Cleveland Heights on the second and fourth Tuesdays at 6:30. See Lady Miriana to learn more.

Armorers Guild: Meetings are held on most Thursdays. The host requires that participants be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. See Baron Calum for details.

OLD BUSINESS

Exchequer: Members are asked to donate $2 per meeting, or $100 per year, to cover the cost of the meeting hall rental.

Quartermaster: The quartermaster must be notified at least two weeks in advance if a member wishes to borrow baronial gear.

Baronial meetings: Set-up starts at 6:30 p.m. and activities start at 7 p.m. A brief business meeting is held at 8:15 p.m.
