IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Cleftlands Event Planning Group: This group will help plan future baronial events. Notes from the first meeting are available, and interested gentles can join the “Cleftlands Event Planning Group” on Facebook for updates. The group meets again Nov. 15. See our seneschal Mistress Angharad for more information.

Baronial address list: Lady Jaquelinne is collecting baronial members’ contact information to update the list.

UPCOMING BARONIAL EVENTS

Dressed to Kill, Nov. 11 at the meeting site: Online registration is now available; pre-registration at meetings will start next week. Volunteers are needed to help. See Baron Calum to sign up to teach a class on armor, and see Baron Edward about costuming classes. There will be an A&S display and fashion show. See Mistress Milesent for details.

Fletchings of Spring: May 18, 2024.

UPCOMING REVELS

Oct. 25 Dessert Revel: This revel will have a Halloween theme. SCA and non-SCA costumes are welcome.

Nov. 29 Dessert Revel: A rapier tournament will be held. Each combatant should designate a person to be their inspiration. Combatants will be asked to sign up in advance through a Google form. How the lists will be run is TBD. See our rapier marshal Lord Reinhardt to learn more.

Yule Revel, Dec. 20: There will be a Noblesse Largess exchange; see Mistress Thorhalla for details. There will be a Not a Cookie Exchange; ask MOAS Dame Elizabethe for details.

OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENTS

Seneschal: Bids are being accepted for Regular Event, NOWM and Standard Bearers. See our seneschal Mistress Angharad if you are thinking about organizing an event.

MOAS: Upcoming class topics include retaining for royalty. Teachers can sign up for slots through the beginning of next year. See the baronial calendar (http://www.cleftlands.org/calendar/) or the baronial Facebook page for details on upcoming classes. See MOAS Mistress Elizabethe if you want to teach or request a class.

Gold Key: Loaner garb is available for fall events. See our Gold Key coordinator Lady Leonne to make arrangements to borrow garb.

GUILD ANNOUNCEMENTS

Garb-A-Thon: A garb-sewing session will be held Friday, Oct. 13 at the Mayfield branch library. A donated sewing machine will be available for use. Check for future Garb-A-Thon dates on its event Facebook page.

Drawing Circle: Noble Rivkah is looking for people willing to pose (fully clothed) for the sessions usually held on the second Wednesday of the month.

Needleworkers Guild: Meetings will be at Critical Hit in Cleveland Heights on the second and fourth Tuesdays at 6:30. See Lady Miriana to learn more.

Armorers Guild: Meetings are held on most Thursdays. The host requires that participants be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. See Baron Calum for details.

OLD BUSINESS

Exchequer: Members are asked to donate $2 per meeting, or $100 per year, to cover the cost of the meeting hall rental.

Quartermaster: The quartermaster must be notified at least two weeks in advance if a member wishes to borrow baronial gear.

Baronial meetings: Set-up starts at 6:30 p.m. and activities start at 7 p.m. A brief business meeting is held at 8:15 p.m.
