PENNSIC ANNOUNCEMENTS: BARONIAL MUSTERS
Baronial pavilion set-up: Wed., Aug. 3, battlefield, time TBA. Please check social media channels for an announcement of the time, and spread the word. Bring hammers.
Opening Ceremonies: Saturday, Aug. 6, 10:30 a.m. The barony will meet at Midrealm Royal to march as a group to Opening Ceremonies on the battlefield.
Populace Archery and Thrown Weapons Muster and Cleftlands Group Photo: Sunday, Aug. 7, 1 p.m. Meet at the baronial tent on the battlefield. Participants will march to the castle on the battlefield for the photo; archery combatants will continue on to the archery field.
Populace Armored Combatants Muster: Monday, Aug. 8, 9 a.m. Meet at camp Three Bears, located at N-17 by the North Gate.
Populace Rapier Combatants Muster: Friday, Aug. 12, 1 p.m. Meet at camp Three Bears.
Baronial pavilion tear-down: Friday, Aug. 12, approx. 4 p.m. after the final battle.
PENNSIC ANNOUNCEMENTS: OTHER
Pennsic Break: Meetings are suspended until Aug. 24.
Midrealm court: Thursday, Aug. 11, at 8 p.m. in the Great Hall/Barn.
Help needed: Assistance is needed to move the baronial chairs and banners to Midrealm court. Meet at camp New Bridge, located at N-08, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11.
Nebble Hunt: The Nebble Hunt – in which Cleftlanders hide Nebbles in their camps and steal other people’s Nebbles – will happen this year at Pennsic. See Baroness Aurelia’s post on the Cleftlands Facebook page. The game begins Thursday, Aug. 4. The deadline to sign up is noon Wednesday, Aug. 3. Baroness Aurelia will deliver the Nebbles to participating camps.
COVID-19 Policies: Attendees are expected to bring their own water and masks. You will need proof of vaccination or a current negative COVID-19 test. Please see the “COVID” section of the Pennsic website, on the main page, for details. Pennsic.org
War Points: War Points can be earned for doing service, as well as teaching and attending classes. Populace War Points are tallied and can help Midrealm prevail over the East Kingdom. See https://www.pennsicwar.org/WarPoints for details, or check the guidebook.

Meistara Thorhalla Carlsdottir Af Broberg and her household are hosting A&S Hangouts on July 27, Aug. 3, Aug. 10 and Aug. 17, 7-9 p.m. at Wildwood Park. Bring a project or just come to socialize. See her Facebook post for details.
DESSERT REVELS
Aug. 31: This will be an ice cream social. Everyone who attended Pennsic is encouraged to bring class handouts to share. Bring lawn chairs.

GUILD ANNOUNCEMENTS
Equestrian Guild: There will be a workshop at the Aug. 31 meeting to discuss re-activating the Cleftlands Equestrian Guild and SCA equestrian activities.
Armorers Guild: This guild meets most Thursdays in Berea. July 21 is the last meeting until after Pennsic. The host requires that participants be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 to attend. See Baron Calum for details.

OLD BUSINESS
Baronial property inventory deadline: Sunday, July 31, is the deadline to turn in paperwork pertaining to the baronial property inventory. Members holding baronial property must sign a contract, per the SCA Board of Directors. This does not include officer regalia or items stored at the meeting site. Please email the paperwork to our seneschal, Lady Claricia.
Exchequer: We are asking for $2 per meeting, or $50 per year, to cover the cost of the meeting hall rental. The rent has increased over the years, and we had to pay for the entire month during the period when meetings were twice a month.
Quartermaster: The quartermaster must be notified at least two weeks in advance if a member wishes to borrow baronial gear.
COVID-19 and Baronial meetings: Meetings will be held weekly for the foreseeable future. We will move outside when the weather permits; bring lawn chairs. Set-up starts at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting starts at 7 p.m. Masks are required indoors for all Cleftlands meetings and Midrealm SCA activities.
