- After 5 years of service, James Barkley has stepped down as Baronial Archery Marshal. Garvin the Slow is stepping into the role.
- Ginevra’s NOWM bid has been accepted. NOWM will be held 8-10 Jun.
- Meinhard’s Standard Bearer’s bid has been accepted for 6-Oct.

- You are invited to the Lash’s Caroling Party: Sat, 23-Dec from around 7 pm until the lights go out. Caroling is normally around 8 pm.
- Levi is running for the US Senate. He’s still short of signatures for his ballot petition: please see him if you’d like sign.
Events
- Yule Revel is coming up on 20-Dec: there will be dancing, plenty of food, a blind gift exchange, and a table decorating contest with prizes. The theme will be a Tudor Yule.

- Robert will be begin taking pre-registration for January Event 13-Dec.
- Robin is collecting feast gear for newcomers.
- Gianna is serving as Royalty Liaison. We’re expecting the entire Midrealm royal family, as well as members of the Aethelmearc family, so we’ll need retainers, royalty room guards, and someone to organize the royalty room lunch.
- If you’d like to help with Regular Event lunch, the Cook’s Guild will be meeting at 2 on 17-Dec to assemble hand pies for the lunch.

Guilds
Guilds are the special interest groups of the SCA: people working together to focus on a particular activity. Everyone is welcome to attend these meetings.
- Armorer’s Guild meets at Ealdred and Clairiel’s home this Thursday. Please contact Calum at calum@att.net for information or directions.
- Woodworker’s Guild will be on hiatus until after the new year, as holiday projects have filled the workshop.
- Archery Guild probably won’t meet this Sunday from 11 til 2, due to weather, though you’re welcome to come in the snow if you’d like, at the home of Gwyneth and Muldonney. Please check the Baronial Facebook page for details.
- Unofficial Fencing Practice probably meets this Sunday . Please check the Baronial Facebook group for confirmation as there may be a last minute cancellation. You can contact Cynwrig for details at jimpretz@sbcglobal.net.
- Leatherwork’s Guild usually meets Tuesdays at Oliver’s at 7 pm . Please contact Oliver at adifferenttwist@gmail.com or on Oliver Stillman on Facebook for directions and information.
- There will no Needleworkers’ meetings in December.
Baroness Announcements
At Christmas Tourney in the Barony of the Flame:
- Gwyneth won one of the two archery competitions earning a spiffy hat.
- Muldonny placed third in the armored Novice Tourney.
- Cadfan was the first person in the kingdom to complete the Royal Hunt.
- Seraphina, the Brendoken Archery Champion, won the Ash Ring from Duke Edmund.
