IMPORTANT INFORMATION: BARONIAL MOVE

NEW MEETING SITE: March 20 is our first meeting at the new site, Ss. Robert and William Catholic Parish, aka Saint Billy-Bob, 367 E. 260th St., Euclid. Go to the school, not the church.

MOVING HELP: Help is needed to move baronial equipment into the new site on March 20. Please see Baron Pietro.

CLASSES ON HIATUS: There will be no A&S classes on March 20, due to the move.

OTHER IMPORTANT STUFF

FLETCHINGS REGISTRATION: Due to site restrictions, money cannot be taken on site at Fletchings of Spring, so the event is pre-registration only. Pay Pal information will be on the event website soon.

FUTURE REVELS

March 27 revel: Martial Madness and Baronial court. Cooks challenge: Make a dish that an army on the march would carry with it.

April: Armored Tournament

May: Swap meet and possible cookout

UPCOMING BARONIAL EVENTS

April 13: Standard Bearers and Northern Oaken Regional A&S Fair at Sts. Robert and William Church in Euclid. Standard Bearers competitions will include armored combat, rapier combat and A&S. The archery champion will be selected at Fletching of Spring. Contact Lord Tarmach, the event steward, with questions.

North Oaken A&S Fair: Entrants and judges are needed. See Sir Crispin or Mistress Milesent for details.

NEW: Help is needed to run a breakfast bar at this event.

May 18: Fletchings of Spring, held at Liberty Park in Twinsburg. The baronial archery championship will be held at this event, not Standard Bearers. Event steward is Lord Tarmach.

NOTE: The calendar in this month’s Pale lists incorrect addresses for Standard Bearers and Fletchings of Spring. The addresses in the event ads are correct.

DEMOS

Scottish Games: Saturday, June 22, Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds. Set-up help will be needed on Friday, June 21. A Google sign-up form will be available soon. See Lady Shahzada for more information.

E. 200th St. Stroll: Saturday, June 1, Euclid. If you are interested in participating, please see Lady Shahzada to sign up.

OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENTS

Gold Key: Gold Key items are up for sale. If you need loaner garb for upcoming spring events, please see our Gold Key coordinator Lady Leonne.

MOAS: There will be a virtual class on Tuesday, March 19, about incorporating accessibility into event planning. Watch the baronial Facebook page for details, or see MOAS Mistress Elizabeth.

GUILD ANNOUNCEMENTS

Needleworkers Guild: Meetings are held at Critical Hit gaming store in Cleveland Heights on the second and fourth Tuesdays at 6:30. See Lady Miriana to learn more.

Armorers Guild:  Thursday meetings have resumed; see Baron Calum for details.

Garb-a-Thons: These sessions are opportunities to work on garb, get help sewing garb, or just socialize. Check the baronial Google calendar for details. The organizers want to know if gentles are interested in Sunday sessions. See Mistress Thorhalla, Lady Genevra and Lady Chaiya for details.

OLD BUSINESS

Lady Leonne is updating the Cleftlands contacts booklet. Contact her to update or add your information.

Exchequer: Members are asked to donate $2 per meeting, or $100 per year, to cover the cost of the meeting hall rental. We are paying the same rent at Saint Billy-Bob.

Quartermaster: The quartermaster must be notified at least two weeks in advance if a member wishes to borrow baronial gear.

Baronial meetings: Set-up starts at 6:30 p.m. and activities start at 7 p.m. A brief business meeting is held at 8:15 p.m.
