Meeting Minutes: 08-Nov-58

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Dressed to Kill, Nov. 11 at the meeting site: The site opens at 9:30 a.m., classes start at 10 a.m. Royalty room guards and retainers are needed. There will be a breakfast bar and lunch provided. Online registration is available. See Lady Juliane if you want to be in the fashion show. See Baron Calum to sign up to teach a class on armor, and see Baron Edward about costuming classes. There will be an A&S display and fashion show. See Mistress Milesent for details about the event.

There is no meeting Nov. 22 due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

The Events Team — a group of members interested in running baronial events — meets Nov. 15. See our seneschal Mistress Angharad to learn more.

St. John of the Cross is planning a three-year renovation project for the building where we meet. The project’s start date, or how it will affect our meetings, is unknown at this time. Chairs and tables may be unavailable for meetings at times.  Cleftlands will be asked to move our supplies out of Room 10.

UPCOMING REVELS

Nov. 29 Rapier Tournament and Dessert Revel: A Facebook event page has the Google sign-up sheet; please sign up in advance. Volunteers are needed to be inspirations for the combatants. How the lists will be run is TBD. See our rapier marshal Lord Reinhardt to learn more.

Yule Revel, Dec. 20: Help is needed with decorations. The Cooks Guild challenge: make something with cranberries. Lady Claricia and Dagny (January) are organizing the revel. There will be a Noblesse Largess exchange; see Mistress Thorhalla for details. There will be a Not a Cookie Exchange; ask MOAS Dame Elizabeth for details.

New Iron Key Minister: Lord Tryggr wants to step down by the end of the year. See him for details on the position.

Seneschal: Bids have been submitted for Fletchings of Spring and Standard Bearers. The Events Team will meet to discuss ideas about running events on Nov. 15. See our seneschal Mistress Angharad if you are thinking about organizing an event.

GUILD ANNOUNCEMENTS

Needleworkers Guild: Upcoming projects include making scroll cases. Meetings will be at Critical Hit gaming store in Cleveland Heights on the second and fourth Tuesdays at 6:30. See Lady Miriana to learn more

Armorers Guild: Meetings are held on most Thursdays. The host requires that participants be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. See Baron Calum for details.

OLD BUSINESS

Exchequer: Members are asked to donate $2 per meeting, or $100 per year, to cover the cost of the meeting hall rental.

Quartermaster: The quartermaster must be notified at least two weeks in advance if a member wishes to borrow baronial gear.

Baronial meetings: Set-up starts at 6:30 p.m. and activities start at 7 p.m. A brief business meeting is held at 8:15 p.m.
