Greetings unto the populace and neighbors of the Cleftlands!
On Wednesday, October 25 the regularly scheduled dessert revel will be transformed into a celebration of All Saints Day! Join us for medieval themed garb challenges, dancing at the masqued ball, painted gourd challenge, or participate in a subtlety challenge sponsored by the Cleftlands Cooks Guild! Prizes will be awarded for the best costume on theme, most creative, baronesses’ choice, and so much more, so start checking your closets and preparing for the festivities!
- If you do not have a mask, classes will be taught on October 11 and 18th by either Master Oliver or his Excellency Baron Crispin.
- The Cooks’ Guild is presenting a challenge open to one and all in the theme of the season, disguised food. Bring any dish that looks like something else, medieval or modern. If you aren’t able to participate in the challenge, bring something anyway! Tasty treats and refreshing beverages are always welcome and appreciated.
- Baroness Gianna is sponsoring a gourd decorating contest to decorate your gourd in the theme of the revel. A populace bean count will decide the overall winner and the best Cleftlands-themed entry will be chosen by a counsel of baronesses. A selection of gourds will be available at meetings on Oct 11 and Oct 18 or you may pick up your own small to medium sized gourd to decorate.
Finally, some help will be needed to set up and tear down after the revel. If you can arrive early, stay late, or help during the revel please reach out to Lady Claricia de la Mere (clariciadlm@gmail.com) and RSVP.
