IMPORTANT INFORMATION

MEETING SITE MOVING: Our meeting site, St. John of the Cross, has informed the barony that we will not have access to the building between March 20 and approximately Aug. 31. Our seneschal Mistress Angharad is looking at Ss. Robert and William Catholic Parish, aka Saint Billy-Bob, as a possible alternative meeting site. The address is 367 E 260th St, Euclid. Details will be announced as they are known. Please spread the word.

Gold Key: If you need loaner garb for upcoming spring events, please see our Gold Key coordinator Lady Leonne. She is also organizing a project to make Cleftlands tabards; sewing help and donated material is needed.

UPCOMING BARONIAL EVENTS

April 13: Standard Bearers and Northern Oaken Regional A&S Fair at Sts. Robert and William Church in Euclid. People with experience in preparing food for a crowd are desired to create a simple lunch, and an evening feast. Please contact Lord Tarmach, the event steward, to discuss numbers and site limitations.

May 18: Fletchings of Spring. The baronial archery championship will be held at this event (not Standard Bearers). Event steward is Lord Tarmach.

Sept. 28: Midrealm Fall Coronation. THL Jolicia, Lady Jaquelinne and Lady Lupa are event stewards.

OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENTS

Social media officer: Members are not permitted to sell items on official SCA Facebook pages. Please see our social media officer Hrafnkell if you have questions.

Youth officer: The youth puppet show, planned for the Mid-Winter Solemnities, has been postponed.  See Lady Chaiya for details.

MOAS: Upcoming classes include making stuffed dragons. In March, there will be a virtual class about making events more accessible.

GUILD ANNOUNCEMENTS

Open Studio: Lady Eleanor will host an open studio day on Sunday, Feb. 11, at Earth and Loom Studios, 885 W. Liberty St., Medina. See the baronial Facebook page for details.

Archery: Baronial Archery Champion Mistress Milesent requests that all archers make blue and white, or a nebuly, part of their kit or garb for Standard Bearers.

Needleworkers Guild: Meetings are held at Critical Hit gaming store in Cleveland Heights on the second and fourth Tuesdays at 6:30. See Lady Miriana to learn more.

Armorers Guild:  Meetings are held on most Thursdays. The host requires that participants be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. See Baron Calum for details.

OLD BUSINESS

Lady Leonne is updating the Cleftlands contacts booklet. Contact her to update or add your information.

Exchequer: Members are asked to donate $2 per meeting, or $100 per year, to cover the cost of the meeting hall rental.

Quartermaster: The quartermaster must be notified at least two weeks in advance if a member wishes to borrow baronial gear.

Baronial meetings: Set-up starts at 6:30 p.m. and activities start at 7 p.m. A brief business meeting is held at 8:15 p.m.
