Hello and welcome to the Cleftlands Virtual Maker Faire! Within the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) we are known as Baron Crispin and Baroness Gianna of Cleftlands (Cuyahoga County)
The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) is an international non-profit volunteer educational organization. The SCA is devoted to the research and re-creation of pre-seventeenth century skills, arts, combat, culture, and employing knowledge of history to enrich the lives of participants through events, demonstrations, and other educational presentations and activities. The SCA’s “Known World” consists of 20 kingdoms and over 30,000 members around the globe.
Today we have for you a variety of videos covering some of the different arts crafts and activities our members practice. A lot of time and research has gone into the study of these topics and their historical origins, so we are very excited to share them with you. Our members have recorded and submitted their craft safely from their homes for your viewing pleasure today, but we look forward to seeing you all in person someday in the future.
